It is a well known place in madurai.During british period it was a conference hall equipped with library named "victoria hall".Now it is functioning as a cinema hall showing both Tamil/English movies

Till 2008, mostly softcore pornographic movies were screened here. But since 2008, the theatre has been renovated (air conditioned) and has started screening mainstream tamil films starting with subramaniyapuram(2008)
