Tudor City Sign

USA / New Jersey / West New York /
 signboard, interesting place

Large neon (30x50') sign mounted atop Prospect Tower which was part of a set fabricated to market the Tudor City development. They were originally lit with incandescent bulbs but were switched to neon in 1939.

By the 1990s, attempts to have the remaining sign removed were thwarted by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. A restoration was finally undertaken in June 2019.
