The Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad passed through Rover Tunnel from 1910 until 1980. There were a total of 64 tunnels on the Milwaukee Road. This is one of the 8 tunnels still in use, and one of two operated by the St. Maries River Railroad.
