The Four Corners is the survey point at the intersection of the four U.S. states of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona and the high desert plateau region surrounding that point in the southwestern United States. This is the only point in the United States where four states touch. Three of the four state corners are on the Navajo Indian Reservation. The fourth corner, Colorado, is on the Ute Mountain Indian Reservation.

You can be in four states at once (2 hands,2 feet) Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. The only place in the world where four geopolitical boundaries met until 1999 when the Canadian Territory of Nunavut was created, making this one of two places where four geopolitical boundaries meet.

  • i wanna go there one day.........
  • I went there when I was little. Not much there but the marker showing the 4 states. It's fun jumping from state or standing in all 4 at once.
  • They now claim that this is not the correct place but 2 1/2 miles to the east

  • so...if you commit a crime say..you punch someone with your hand in arizona and slip it back into utah...did you just commit a felony by crossing state borders?
  • "Claims are sometimes made that the monument was misplaced in the initial surveys. The accuracy of the surveys has been defended by the U.S. National Geodetic Survey and the monument has been legally established as the corner of the four states." Wikipedia.
  • Used to be a marker about 1/4 mile off the road which was nice to stop by and stretch your legs. Now the Native Americans have taken over and charge admission so the gouge is on just to go and see a cement patio marked with two intersecting lines. You can also buy stuff from their gift stands that were made in China. Just keep on driving.
  • Just went yesterday. I found it to be pretty cool. If you plan on visiting you should realize there is not much to do there as it is not a theme park. It is about 100 miles from the closest good size town, however there are small towns along the way. I found the drive to be a wonderful site seeing experiance and enjoyed the history lesson, however kids may not enjoy the experiance quite as much.
