Barnes and Noble, interesting place, 1921_construction, building with disabled access
Former Noel State Bank building which was designed c. 1921 by Gardner Coughlen. The last bank to occupy the space moved out in 2005, and Walgreens decided to adaptively reuse the building for their Bucktown flagship store. Its interior was completely restored as part of the project; its former vault is even reused to house vitamins. A Barnes & Noble book store as of 2025.
