Ancient Maya City of Caracol. Reached from a long and rugged road through the Mountain Pine Ridge. A large and spectacular site, Caan the largest temple is still the tallest structure in Belize.
Located with in a large forest preserve it is a great birding site. Of special interest are the Keel-billed Motmots that nest in the "Barrio" section. Harpy Eagle has also occurred here.
