theatre, interesting place
1,600-seat auditorium, opened in 1930 to honor the hundredth anniversary of founder William Booth's birth. It features a four-manual organ built by the Estey Organ Company in 1930. The recessed entrance was purposely designed the entrance to look like a curtain lifting on a stage to draw people in off the street, fitting in with the Salvation Army’s mission.
