PTS-2 Medium-size Amphibious Armoured Personnel Carrier (Kamensk-Shakhtinsky)

Designed for transportation of assault force, amphibious crossing across water barriers of artillery systems, wheeled and tracked tractors, armored personnel carriers, vehicles, personnel and various cargoes.

The machine has good maneuverability, high passability and a large reserve of buoyancy, and can be used in marine conditions with sea disturbance of up to Beaufort scale number 3.

It is equipped with a defense system for operating personnel and combat radioactive substances, equipment for self-digging, a radio station, a tank intercom, and a night vision device.

Designed 1973.
Manufactured in the former USSR by VZOR Voroshilovgrad Locomotive works (now Lugansk, Ukraine).
