condominium, Romanesque (architecture), interesting place
Former industrial powerhouse designed c. 1907 by McKim, Mead & White as the generating plant for the Pennsylvania Railroad. It was later used for the NY & Queens Electric Light & Power Company. After being decommissioned, the plant was adaptively reused as a residential building altered in 2009 by Karl Fischer which removed the smokestacks and compromised the historic integrity. The complex is now a condominium managed by Douglas Elliman.
