(Hyderabad Colony) A post independence settlement by Hyderabadi immigrants from Andhara Pradesh, India. The princely state of Hyderabad Deccan could not become a part of Pakistan in 1947 but its Indo-Arabian cuisines have made inroads into the country’s culinary delights. And for that reason the credit goes to the denizens of a locality established opposite the Central Jail.

    We lived in 204/205 Hyderabad Colony from 1949 when my parents migrated from Aurangabad (Hyderabad) till almost 1980's. I was only 4-5 years old when we migrated to Pakistan and I passed all my childhood and schooling while in that home, therefore I have special sentimental attachment for this place. When we sold the property in 1980's as we had been living in USA, the last time when I went to Hyderabad Colony I couldn't look at the new buiding being constructed on our home and closed my eyes and moved drove away fast as I wanted to keep the same old image of my home at that place in my eyes where I and all my brother and sisters and parents had passed such loving and happy time of our lives.
