  • yes way cool you seem to be a natural trypointer http://trypointing.blogspot.com/ http://groups.yahoo.com/group/boundarypointpoint/ in this case the njnypa tristate point tho supposedly marked on the left bank & often confused is actually legally in the middle of the delaware river just a few feet downriver from the interstate overpass
  • Living in NJ, this point is the northernmost point in the state. To get to the site, one has to drive across the NY state line, cross the Neversink River and then drive into the private Laurel Grove Cemetery which is a peninsula extending into the confluence of the Neversink and Delaware Rivers. There is a marker there which, at the very least purports to be the actual tri-state point and it looks pretty official complete with a seal from the US government. At that site there is actually a second monument which predates the first and appears more unofficial. I posted the picture of the monument.
  • I-84 does not actually touch NJ, it obviously comes very close.
