This Northern Pacific Railroad farm loading station was built in the west half of section 15-132-49, Mooreton Township three miles southeast of Mooreton, and named for James H. Mathews, founder of the New York Bonanza Farm, who came to Richland County from Orange County, New York in 1878. It appeared on maps from about 1915 until the 1970's.
