villa, 1892_construction, 1890s construction
Copony villa at No.6 (previously No.4) built according to the plans of architect Heinrich C.Eder in 1892. The owner was Wilhelm Copony (1848-1922), a native of Brasov, who worked at the Land Credit Bank (today the City Hall). The parquet in Villa Copony came from the father Martin Copony (1815-1898) the first manufacturer of parquet in Transylvania (the same parquet is in the Florentine Hall in Peles Castle). From 1963-64 lived in this villa the famous collector Carl Engber, married to Charolta Priscu (widow of the movie leasing Ioan Priscu who was the owner of the villa from 1948).
