villa, Art Nouveau / Jugendstil (architecture), 1906_construction
Beautiful Art Nouveau villa, designed by the famous architect Hans Heckner for his friend Gustav Kiszling (see the small photo).
Kiszling only wanted it with ground floor, but Heckner told him: "you are too poor to have a house only with ground floor, you need a one-storey house to recover your expenses by renting the floor ..."
Gustav Kiszling, son-in-law of E.A. Bieltz, coming from a military family (k.u.k. colonel and generals) was for many years director of the Agricultural Credit Bank (Bodenkreditanstalt) in Sibiu. He was the first cashier of the Păltiniș Sanatorium Commission (Kurhaus Hohe Rinne).
