Doc Severinsen's (Tonight Show band leader for Johnny Carson)home during his high school years (about 1940s). His father, Doc Sr. was a barber and had his shop in the little building out front at the SW corner of SE 42nd & Hawthorne. Doc's mother continued to live here until the 1990s and Doc was often seen coming and going with her in a limo.

  • He was also involved with Enoch Light's varoius orchestral projects in the 1960s and early 1970s. Quite a talented and original musician; both hard to find in Portland, especially these days!
