One of the best preserved and intact specimens left of the old radio range stations. This site was originally leased by the Civil Aeronautics Administration in the 1930s from the land owner. When the station closed in 1965, the now-FAA made a new arrangement that, in exchange for a small payment, they would simply walk away from the site rather than remove all structures as agreed some 30 years prior.
