Second World War 1939-1945, closed / former military, radio beacon, United States Air Force
The US Government used eminent domain in 1939 and again in 1957 to acquire the land for this antenna field, of which there were twelve. This antenna field supported nearby Hamilton Airfield. It was placed into caretaker status in 1976 and sold to the State of California in 1984. It was formerly used by the Living History Center as a space to construct props for the Northern California Renaissance Pleasure Faire. The faire was once held where the StoneTree Golf Club stands today.
