Estate home designed c. 1930 in the Federal style by Bradley Delehanty for Dr. Walter Johannes Damrosch {entertainer/conductor}. Damrosch served as conductor of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra; his father, Leopold, had organized the New York City Symphony Society in 1878. His daughter married Hall Pleasants Pennington and resided in Matinecock.
The home was purchased in 1937 by Edward G. Sperry and subsequently by Dr. Emilio Gabriel Collado, II {financier}. Collado served as first American director of World bank and an executive vice president of Exxon Corp. Additionally, he served as Deputy Secretary of State for Financial Affairs and was a designer of the international post- WWII monetary system as part of the many positions he held in the United States Department during WWII.
After remaining vacant for several years, the estate was demolished in 2024.
