Great little beach with lots to explore. After parking in Hug Point State Park parking lot head north up the sand. At 600' you will come to a pretty waterfall and "grotto like" scene. Another 600' north and you come to Hug Point. Note the roadway carved into the rock. This is where turn of the century wagons and early 20th century model T's traveled when going from Cannon Beach to Tillamook. Only cross this headland at low tide and be prepared to turn back well before high tide, otherwise you wil be climbing the steep brush east to highway 101! One of our family's favorite stops.
