Historic farm listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Built: c. 1935
Alterations: extensive expansion to main farmhouse in the mid 1950s, following the farm's purchase by the Metzger family.
Architectural style: Colonial Revival
Areas of significance: Architecture; Agriculture; Law; Politics/Government
Notable past owners: John Metzger - prominent Denver attorney and politician. Metzger purchased this property for use as a hobby farm, and as a more idyllic place to raise his family than an urban dwelling could afford. In contrast to family farms or working farms, hobby farms were agricultural properties whose revenues were supplemental in nature; they were owned by people whose primary income came from elsewhere, and were largely an upper-class phenomenon.
Area: 151 acres
Structures:
- Main farmhouse (see above)
- Caretaker's house (c. 1945)
- Garage/workshop (c. 1945)
- Loafing shed (c. 1952)
- Barn & corrals (c. 1945)
- Brooder house (c. 1945)
- Chicken coop (c. 1945)
- Equipment shed (c. 1945)
- Pump house (c. 1955)
- numerous ancillary structures such as wells and other infrastructure, as well as ruins of earlier structures that no longer stand.

Date added to NRHP: 3/20/2013
Other designations: listed on the Colorado State Register of Historic Properties
Notes: The Metzger Farm is now open to the public as a park administered by the City and County of Broomfield (though the property is located within the limits of Westminster).
