Sri Parthasarathy Temple is centrally located near the KSRTC bus station at Adoor, Pathanamthitta District,South Kerala.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Krishna, known here in the name of Parthasarathy, meaning Partha's charioteer. Partha is another name of Arjuna who was one of the five Pandava princes, the heroes of the epic, Mahabharatha.
The main festival celebrated is the Ashtamirohini, the birthday of Sri Krishna. The annual celebrations last for ten days. The highlight of the annual festival is the Gajamela, elephant processions, on the concluding day.
