The Juan N. Segín Memorial Interchange is the interchange of I-610, TX-225(South Loop / La Porte Highway), and Central Street. The Interchange is named after Juan Nepomuceno Segín (October 27, 1806 – August 27, 1890) was a 19th-century Texas Senator, mayor (of San Antonio, not Houston), judge, and Justice of the Peace. The Interchange was dedicated by the 77th regular session of the Texas State Legislature on June 13, 2001.
