Towson is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The population was 51,793 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Baltimore County. It's also one of the largest unincorporated county seats in the United States.

Towson is the home to several major regional hospitals as well as Towson University, the second largest public university in the state.

Towson is split into two major zip codes as well as some minor ones as well. 21204 is basically everything west of York Road.
