A small strictly residential neighborhood constisting mostly of historic sprawling country houses for the socially prominent families of Baltimore, such as the Boones, Cromwells, Cochrans, Merricks, and Harveys, made popular over a hundred year ago do to it's sweeping views of Lake Roland and Robert E. Lee Park. In recent years a small development of large new houses has been built.
