cave / caves, sinkhole, interesting place
Sinkhole under a grove of trees. Used to have an old wooden sign posted on a tree calling it "Buzz's Old Gold Cave". The sinkhole is approx. 3' wide and about 10' feet deep opening up to a 8' circular floor underground. Looked to be a popular drinking spot from years past, some bottles were found by me that looked like they were from the 1930s.
Recently the sign was removed and the hole locked behind a fence and grate. Maybe some spelunker's were called in to seal it?
