Notes: This small building originally served as a law office in downtown Camden. After the Civil War, the building was occupied by the Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands (commonly referred to simply as the Freedmen's Bureau), an organization founded to lend assistance to former slaves in the immediate wake of the War. The building is now located on the property of the McCollum-Chidester House, which is also listed on the NRHP. Both buildings are open to the public as museums.
