Site of the Battle of Prairie d'Ane, which took place from April 9th to April 13th, 1864. The battle was one of the engagements that took place during the Union Army's Camden Expedition. This site, which covers about 2,600 acres (out of a total of about 5,000 acres) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) and is also designated a National Historic Landmark.
