  • Hi, I have been one of the very few who have been to the top of this fort and witnessed among other things: Water Storage tanks that overflowed along Rajgani at the bottom of the fort, breath taking views of Raigad, Kadeloat, enemy traps, and legend has it that on the southern side there is a secret passage for a last minute escape for the ruler. The tunnel is approx 800 mts long and emerges out into the sloping hill to the north of CKP smashanbhumi. It is now buried in Mud, and rubble. If only Mah govt could pump resources into this fort and its history, it could be a great tourist attraction, including a cable car to get to the top
