The Weld Cone Wind Farm is located in the northeast part of the South Island of New Zealand, about 40 km (as the crow flies) SSE of the town of Blenheim, on the hills 7 km southeast of the village of Ward (on State Highway 1) and 1.5 km from the coast. Completed in 2010, it consists of 3 refurbished NEG Micon M530 wind turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 0.75 MW.
