  This facility within Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the headquarters of the Applachian Highlands Science Learning Center, a program to encourage research and education about research in four national park sites for science-informed management. The official web site provides more information about our program and contact information to assist anyone interested in conducting research in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Obed Wild and Scenic River, and Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Please note that the official site is now www.nps.gov/grsm/naturescience/pk-homepage.htm. The other site is no longer maintained and will soon be taken off-line.
