Ambler Johnson hall is a co-ed residence hall that consists of two wings. West Ambler Johnson, one of the largest residence halls on campus, houses 895 students. East Ambler Johnson is currently undergoing renovation.

The first shooting occurred around 7:15 a.m. EDT at West Ambler Johnston Hall, a co-ed dormitory that houses 895 students, where a woman and a man were killed and up to four others wounded.
