Historic Gothic Revival-style house dating to 1856. Also on the property is the Samuel Cecil Archeological Site, which consists of the ruins of a log house dating to 1768. The property, which is sometimes referred to as "Springdale" (as one word) and "David S. McGavock House", is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district.
