This was Thomas Jefferson's summer home, modeled in the style of his more famous Monticello. It was acquired by a historical society and has been in the process of restoration for many years. It lies in a beautiful country setting and is open for tours year-round.

The house, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was originally built from 1806 to 1826.
