Architect: Witt, Siebert & Halsey (Texarkana, AR - 1919 remodel only)
Alterations: extensive remodel to current appearance in 1919. North and south wing additions were added in 1919 as well.

Notable past owners: W.C. Brown, Sr. - prominent regional businessman who founded the Bodcaw Lumber Company. The Brown family was also very active in philanthropic activities, giving large sums of money to various hospitals and colleges in the region.
