Giant surf.
On 21 January 2001 Mike Parsons, with the aid of a tow in, rode a 66 foot wave and lived to tell the tale.
The event was caught on film by Dana Brown (son of Bruce Brown) and was included in his documentary "Step Into Liquid."

  • I've heard of this break but never knew where it was......I'd like to have a big barge hotel/ restaurant out there and offer a shuttle service along with surf tow with jet skis......Say, 500 a day gets you food, tow and bed!
