Unveiled by President Saakashvili and 3 U.S. congressmen (Dreier, Whitfield, Payne) on 23 November 2011, commemorating the 20th anniversary of the collapse of the Soviet Union, the 8th anniversary of the Rose Revolution in Georgia (2003), and Saint George’s day. It represents democracy, liberalism, and free enterprise; how Georgia differs from Russia. Inscribed with quote from Reagan: "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."
