Independence Rock

Settlers moving west had to reach this point by Independence Day (July 4) or they would be stopped by snowfall in the mountains ahead.

Part of the rock is accessible for climbing (difficulty = 0), part is fenced off to preserve graffiti and commemorative plaques.
