Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) is a center of research and development aimed at increasing the mobility and function of people with disabilities. HERL is affiliated with the Department of Veteran's Affairs, the University of Pittsburgh, and the UPMC Health System. Formerly in building #4 at the VA Hospital's Highland Drive Campus, it now occupies Suite 400 of Bakery Square.
