 theatre, condominium

121-foot, 11-story modernist mixed-use building completed in 2004. Designed by Ed Rawlings, the name refers to the Dance Theater Workshop housed on the lower three floors. The ground floor has beige-painted iron piers with exposed rivets, and infill of silver metal and glass; there are entrances at both ends. The center section is a row of windows surrounded by light-blue metal. The 2nd & 3rd floors have curtain walls of silver aluminum and glass, with two very wide center bays, and narrower end bays.

The upper floors are clad in beige brick, with wide bands of windows at the 4th-7th floors, and narrow single-windows at the west end. Near the east end of each window band are shallow concrete balconies with metal railings. The facade sets back above the 7th floor, and the top floors have full floor-to-ceiing windows fronted by large balconies. The duplex penthouse has its top-level balcony split, with a descending, enclosed staircase running down to the next balcony. One of the building's two rooftop water tanks is visible from the street.
