Mount Redoubt is an active stratovolcano in the largely volcanic Aleutian Range of Alaska. Its most recent eruption was in 2009.

On January 25, 2009, the Alaska Volcano Observatory warned that Redoubt may erupt within "hours or days." On January 28, 2009, the AVO released a statement that an eruption similar to the 1989 event is the most likely scenario. In late March of 2009, a moderate eruption occurred. As of August 2015, the Alaska Volcano Observatory has rated the volcano at normal.
