Brockwell Park was a built as a private estate before becoming a public park. The Brockwell Hall Park Estate was created and landscaped in 1811. Many of the original features remain - the old "Manor House" now contains a hill top cafe with breathtaking views of Central London and great bacon sndwiches! The Estate was purchased for the people of Lambeth & Southwark and it opened as a public park in 1892. Brockwell Park's most famous landmark is the art-deco "Brockwell Lido"; easily the best Lido in London if not the world.
