A relatively modern park created from an area of factories and Victorian housing that used to lie on either side of the Grand Surrey Canal. Includes a large pond for fishing and historic sites such as Chumleigh Gardens, the old Wells Way Baths and the neo-classical St George's Church. Although the canal is now filled in it is still possible to walk along its route from its head at the corner of Albany Road and Camberwell Road right into the centre of Peckham.
