Parun or (Payngal in Nuristani) is a small town located to the northwest of Nuristan province and made of six villages, which are Pashki, Prunz, Dewah , ChuChum, Kushtki, and Ieshtewey. Has small population of over 10000 people most of them are government employees or officials. Currently serves as the capital of Nuristan province and most of the official building are also located in this town.
