The 18-hole golf club Golf du Bois de Ruminghem consists of two totally different parts. Hole 1 to 10 of the golf course is mainly parkland with spectacular views of the coastline between Dunkirk and Calais. Hole 11 to 18 of the course is woodland with lots of ancient oak trees. The trees are punishing bad shots heavily while the adjoining fairways of the parkland part are more forgiving. This requires a different approach on the tees in the woods and on the plain. If you play your handicap here, you can play your handicap anywhere.
