Underwater most of the time, across the channel from Eagle Shawmut Mill. Exposed above the water line due to the 2014 / 2015 drought.
The chlorination plant was constructed about 1902. Concentrates from the stamp mill on the east side of the creek were transferred to the chlorination plant via an overhead cable tramway. The right-of-way of the 30" gauge Yosemite Short Line railroad was immediately below the plant.
