Purpose of Facility: Receipt and shipment of containerized and roll-on/roll-off general cargo in foreign-and-domestic trade; receipt and shipment of molasses. Current Operator: Matson Terminals, Inc. Tel: (808) 848-1436. Commodities: Distillate,Residual & Other Fuel Oils; Lube Oil & Greases; all Manufactured Equipment, Machinery and Products Unknown or Not Elsewhere Classified. Remarks: Wharf is in line and contiguous with adjacent company- owned Pier 51A providing for continuous berthing space. Roll-on/roll-off ramp is assembled over wharf by connecting portable ramp sections mounted on rubber tires to form direct access between vessels' side ports and storage-and- marshaling area in rear. Two molasses storage tanks are located at rear; total capacity 72,000 gallons. Portable hoses are used as required for molasses transfer. Concrete pile, asphalt-surfaced concrete-decked wharf; fronted by rubber-fender system. Use of mobile equipment described under adjacent, company- owned Piers 52A, 52B, and 52C.
