Designed c. 1941 by Magoon & Salo Architects which was responsible for many churches in the New York area. It was built by the William L. Crow Construction Corp. The building consisted of a chapel, a church school wing, and a pastor's study by 1955. The Parish Hall stage was completed in 1958 and the pipe organ was installed and the chancel was remodeled in 1962. Modern exterior renovations were made by Norman A. Glavas Architects.

The Congregational Church of Manhasset is a member of the United Church of Christ, a liberal Protestant Christian denomination.
