Lower Quarter

Residential quarter excavated from 1935 to 1937. In the middle of the area there's a large mound, created by excavation dumps, that delimit two zones: Lower City West and Lower City East. Middle bronze age tombs found in the area dated the district quite early but the area was reoccupied in late bronze age. Domestic architecture in this quarter is the same as other districts with larger and better refined houses coexisting with poorer ones.
