This region with its bizarre valleys and sandstonerocks, that are without any vegetation, is glowing in all shades of red, yellow, white and black and thus a visitor has the impression to be on Mars. One of the most impressing sceneries of the Libyan Desert. Take care of the egyptian - libyan border that runs through that area. Beware of smugglers and human traffickers who use near by Bab al Masri to transit to/from Libya. No secure place any longer - it is a pity.
