Once quite visible from Route 3, this monument is now obscured by small trees behind the Chancellorsville Battlefield Visitors Center. It marks the approximate location that Stonewall Jackson was mortally wounded on May 2nd, 1863. A large stone to the east is reportedly the original marker of this spot.
